Fund-raising!!

Since we announced our decision to adopt 2 years ago, we have been overwhelmed by the generous giving from friends and family, financially for this very expensive process!  Adoption is a pricey deal, and we knew going into it that we would fund-raise to offset some of the costs associated.  So last year our dear friend Bryan Beaven let us use his garage and yard to throw down a heck of a sale!  We asked for items to be donated to our cause, and had an outstanding turnout.  Garage Sale setup and execution is not for the faint of heart.  Holy Smokes it was a lot of work!   We made $1500 that sale, and it went straight to paperwork costs.

Since then, some of our good friends, Kevin and Christina Gilchrist, have also decided to adopt!  They have started the process to adopt a child from the United States, and their process is a bit different from ours, but the price tag is quite the same!  So since last year, the Gilchrist's and us have held two more garage sales in their yard to raise more money.  The setup is the same- people donate their stuff for us to sell, and help us run the sale.  We have some outstanding friends and family backing us in this!  Thank you to everyone who has helped out by working the sales, donating to them, and generously giving to our families!

We plan on having more sales next spring and summer, so save your unwanted stuff, you local readers, and give it to us to sell!  We have confidence that all the money will be more than covered by the time we travel to get sweet Norah, and are trusting our good Father for continued provision!  He does, all the time:)
